In natural wool and super comfortable
Le Tapis de Laine naturally regulates body temperature. In summer and winter alike, it offers maximum comfort. Its thickness and the rebound of its wool make it an exceptional mat for relieving joints. Non-slip on both sides, it provides the stability needed for your movements.
And the strap? It's as useful for carrying your mat as for accompanying you in effort, to adjust certain postures and progress gently.
From the Larzac to your living room: production that makes sense
It all starts on the AOP Roquefort area where the specifications impose pastoralism on breeders. Once harvested, the wool is carded and felted in Aveyron by the Filature Colbert. A dense, compact felt that gives the mat its structure. In our workshop, we cut the felt and apply the non-slip coating on both sides. Everything is done favouring employment through integration.
And the strap? For lack of being able to produce it in France, it is made in India from cotton by an association that supports the reintegration of women victims of violence.
Zero hassle: the right care habits
Good news: wool loves most of all… to breathe. After the session, let the mat air out quietly, and the moisture escapes by itself. For dust: a quick vacuum. For a stain: lightly soapy sponge, then air dry (no radiator). And the machine, we avoid.
A mat more local, more understated, more just
We start from a simple fact: 90% of French wool is still thrown away for lack of outlets. We transform it to make the most comfortable yoga mat on the market. And at end of life it will be compostable: you cut it into pieces and put it at the foot of a tree to serve as fertiliser! Renewable material (without hydrocarbons), French production, anchored on the AOP Roquefort area and the Larzac: fewer materials travelling, more local common sense. And the strap follows the same logic of impact: made in India by an association reintegrating women victims of violence.

We designed the Rug with a latex layer so that the mat is non-slip on both sides. It sticks to the ground. On the practice surface, it offers an anchor to perform gentle yoga and dynamic yoga poses. The use of wool offers a cocooning aspect. Its smell makes it easy to disconnect.
Like a wool sweater, wool can be cleaned by itself when you let it air out. In general, ventilate the Carpet as regularly as possible to make the wool breathe. Regular cleaning extends the life of the carpet. Vacuum as soon as necessary to remove dust.
Wool is a particularly light material that makes it possible to have a carpet that is both very light (1.3 kg) and comfortable for the joints (5mm). Despite its secure thickness, it is therefore much lighter than most rugs available on the market.
A thick yoga mat can cushion and relieve joints. Without removing the need for stability in practice, the Wool Rug was designed to provide support for knees and elbows. Larzac wool, from Lacaune sheep, has particular bouncy qualities, particularly recognized in the field of bedding.
Strictly speaking, we have not yet organized a recycling circuit. But wool is a natural and biodegradable material, so we are working to follow the life cycle of the Rug until its end. We will offer solutions as soon as possible.
