The density of the felt provides a natural rebound that relieves pressure points (knees, ankles, pelvis) and helps hold the posture without tensing up. From the Larzac to the workshop: local wool, real know-how
The material comes from the AOP Roquefort area, on the Larzac: local wool from flocks subject to exacting specifications. Then, transformation in Aveyron with the Filature Colbert, to obtain a dense, regular felt, made to last. Here no non-slip layer: the meditation mat is 100% wool, simply. French production, short, readable — and you can feel it from the very first touch.
Sit down, breathe… and that's (almost) it
The instructions are simple: you unroll, you sit, you breathe. Wool loves… to breathe too. After use, air the mat to remove moisture and limit odours. Dust: vacuum (soft attachment). Small stain: lightly soapy sponge, then air dry away from a heat source. For a deep clean: dry cleaning recommended. Machine wash to be avoided.

Every year, a large part of French wool is thrown away for lack of outlets. Here, it becomes a useful, beautiful and durable object. Wool is a renewable material, independent of hydrocarbons, and its transformation draws on local know-how. We designed the Rug with a latex layer so that the mat is non-slip on both sides. It sticks to the ground. On the practice surface, it offers an anchor to perform gentle yoga and dynamic yoga poses. The use of wool offers a cocooning aspect. Its smell makes it easy to disconnect.
Like a wool sweater, wool can be cleaned by itself when you let it air out. In general, ventilate the Carpet as regularly as possible to make the wool breathe. Regular cleaning extends the life of the carpet. Vacuum as soon as necessary to remove dust.
Wool is a particularly light material that makes it possible to have a carpet that is both very light (1.3 kg) and comfortable for the joints (5mm). Despite its secure thickness, it is therefore much lighter than most rugs available on the market.
A thick yoga mat can cushion and relieve joints. Without removing the need for stability in practice, the Wool Rug was designed to provide support for knees and elbows. Larzac wool, from Lacaune sheep, has particular bouncy qualities, particularly recognized in the field of bedding.
Strictly speaking, we have not yet organized a recycling circuit. But wool is a natural and biodegradable material, so we are working to follow the life cycle of the Rug until its end. We will offer solutions as soon as possible.
